Left Shanghai for Beijing,
Beijing done, on to Tianjin,
Things change, stars shift, nothing's the same,
Back then the Jin Tower was still under construction.

The foreign goods market was buzzing loud,
Now it's desolate, no one around.
Nanshi Food Street, Goubuli buns,
I remember eating, left with cold wind.

Lucky I jotted things down back then,
Memories surge like a tide.
I wonder when I can visit again,
Old haunts of Tianjin, to reunite.
