MORGAN POETRY (morganpoetry.com) is a personal poetry and creative-writing site operated by Morgan. This page explains what data is collected when you visit, why it is collected, and what your choices are.
What we collect
Standard web-server logs record the date and time of each request, the page requested, your IP address, the referring page, and your browser's user-agent string. These logs are kept by the hosting provider for routine security and performance purposes.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4, measurement ID G-0RKKH7QYT9) is loaded on every page. GA4 receives standard web-analytics signals including page URL, referrer, screen size, approximate location (country/region from IP), and a randomized client ID stored in cookies. IP addresses are anonymized by Google before storage.
WP Statistics (a self-hosted WordPress plugin) records aggregate page-view counts in the site's own database. It does not transmit data to third parties.
Jetpack (by Automattic) is active for security and uptime monitoring. It may collect limited request metadata for the purpose of brute-force protection and downtime alerts.
Cloudflare sits in front of this site as a CDN and security layer. Cloudflare may log request metadata to mitigate attacks and abuse. See Cloudflare's own privacy notice for details.
What we do not collect
This site does not run an online store, does not process payments, does not sell newsletters, and does not run a comment system that requires you to log in. No email address, name, or other personally identifying information is collected from ordinary visitors.
Cookies
Cookies on this site come from Google Analytics (for traffic measurement) and from Cloudflare (for security and bot mitigation). No advertising cookies are placed. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the site will continue to function.
Third-party links and embeds
Pages on this site may link to or embed content from YouTube, pump.fun, shop.morganpoetry.com, shop2.morganpoetry.com, and other sites in the Morgan Universe. When you load an embedded video or follow an external link, the destination site may set its own cookies and collect its own data under its own privacy policy.
AI-assisted content
Some poems on this site are labeled “AI 二創 · REINTERPRETED FROM MORGAN'S LIFE EXPERIENCES.” Those poems were produced with the help of large-language-model tools based on Morgan's own notes and lived experiences. Translations into other languages are produced with DeepSeek and are reviewed by Morgan before publication. No reader data is sent to any AI service.
Your choices
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on, by enabling Do-Not-Track in your browser, or by blocking the gtag.js script with a content blocker. You can request deletion of any logs that personally identify you by contacting Morgan via the email address listed on the About page.
