Writing casually, don't be surprised,
A week's dinner diary compiled,
From south to north I freely roam,
Still far from eating all of Hsinchu's home.
Monday came to Shandong Inn,
Dumplings four bucks each within,
Plumpness barely passes grade,
But the taste lacks sweet cascade.
Tuesday's meal at Water Pen,
Hidden alley, turn again,
Mid-range price, good food indeed,
Cream bacon penne's the creed.
Wednesday grill at Red Garden,
Average quality, endless portion,
Japanese BBQ and hotpot too,
Stuffed belly, full and true.
Thursday's bistro called Yue Lai,
Longshan district, small and plain,
Food is just so-so, not great,
Next time maybe I'll pass the gate.
Friday at Eleven Street in Zhubei,
Looks like a hotel, not a deli,
Visited twice, deep impression,
Noodles, rice, dumplings in succession.
Saturday at New Bridge BBQ,
Premium ingredients, costly fee,
Marbled beef I recommend,
Lingering taste, a friend to the end.
Sunday cooking at home, mom's care,
Too cold to go out anywhere,
Six days on the run, need rest,
Clear my mind for work's behest.
Life fleeting, moments pass,
World changes, vast and fast,
Better cherish the present time,
Live with passion, in rhythm and rhyme.
