Long heard of its fame in Hsinchu,
Tenchuen Japanese Restaurant,
At year's end I finally visit,
To treat a friend tonight.

Chef's choice, no set menu,
We set a budget beyond the course,
Final bill a bit over,
Two of us spent thirty-three hundred.

Abalone salad, snow crab,
Special assorted sashimi,
Seafood and yam steamed,
Beef with sesame, pan-seared.

Fish on sizzling stone,
Grilled squid on the side;
Crispy almond shrimp,
Sea urchin sweet in negitoro roll.

Pricey red-throat fish,
Rich fat, sliced on both sides;
Aromatic clay pot,
Onion and filet mignon on the tongue.

Topped with mentaiko,
Shiso-wrapped fish roll;
Matsusaka beef, exquisite taste,
Juicy flavor, truly memorable.

Toast with tea instead of wine,
Life is short, enjoy it now,
Clouds shift, time flies,
Better to forget ourselves in this place.
