Pingyao's feng shui is meticulous,
Laid out like a chessboard of eight trigrams.
Over a century ago, many draft banks thrived,
Earning it the name 'China's Wall Street.'

Shanxi merchants prospered in harmony,
Underground vaults stacked with silver.
Exchanging silver ingots for banknotes,
Hoping to borrow the wind of fortune.
