Root-seeking journey to Quanzhou,
Silently bow to ancestors in my heart.
Up mountains, down seas, I walk with all my might,
Hoping to know this land a little more.

Chongwu Fortress by Hui'an's shore,
Laozi's statue on Qingyuan Mountain.
Tired, I feast on ginger duck,
Then visit Shaolin's southern branch.

Islam, Taoism, Christianity,
Quanzhou's faiths blaze like wildfire.
Pure and Clear, Guan Yue, Temple of Heaven's Queen,
And the grand Kaiyuan Temple.

Beef noodles fragrant at Hao Cheng Cai,
Zhongshan Old Street has stood a hundred years.
